Our Services

Our podiatrists work with you to prevent, treat and improve a range of conditions that can affect not only your feet, but also your general health and wellbeing. Here are just some of the aspects of foot care we can help with. If you are unsure if we can help with your concern, please do call us and we are happy to provide some advice.

GENERAL PODIATRY TREATMENTS

Many people can benefit from a general podiatry treatment. A treatment involves safe cutting of toenails, treating dry skin or cracks in the skin and other issues such as corns and calluses. Some people need a general podiatry treatment because they are unable to complete tasks such as toenail cutting themselves, others need these treatments to effectively manage badly cracked skin or calluses. A general podiatry treatment every couple of months is affordable and can provide great benefits to your health and wellbeing.

DIABETES CARE

If you are diabetic, your feet are at risk because diabetes can cause damage to the nerves in your feet and impair blood circulation. Even small injuries to the feet can lead to infection and a risk of foot ulcers which can be very serious. If you have diabetes you need to take care of your feet every day. Daily foot care and checking your feet for changes in conjunction with regular visits to a podiatrist can help prevent serious complications.

Wentworth Falls Podiatry has a great deal of experience in assisting patients with diabetes. We will always be happy to see you at short notice for any concerns.

NAIL & SKIN CARE

There is no need to just put up with skin or nail concerns or pain! Our podiatrists can help with a range of conditions, both to treat the issue and prevent it from recurring. We can help with a range of concerns including: chillblains, thickened nails, fungal nails, Athletes Foot, calluses and skin build up, corns, warts, sweaty feet, Psoriasis, frequent blisters and more.

INGROWN TOENAILS

Ingrown toenails are very common and can be very painful. There are many different causes and removing them is often painless.  We can also perform nail surgery to ensure long term relief for on-going persistent infections or painful nails.

CHILDREN’S FEET

Foot, heel and knee pain can be common in active children. A review by one of our experienced Podiatrists can help. We can assess their footwear and prescribe exercises or orthotic devices to reduce pain and keep them comfortably enjoying their sports and other activities . Common issues with children’s feet that we can help with include:
   •  Heel pain and severs disease
   •  Knee pain and shin splints
   •  Osgood Schlatters Disease
   •  Sensitive kids who have trouble with having their nails cut
   •  Warts and ingrown toenails

FLAT FEET

This isn’t always a problem but if you do have back, knee, ankle, heel or arch pain it is worth investigating. There are many solutions including orthotics, a gait assessment and strengthening exercises and a consultation with one of our experienced podiatrists could help.

HEEL PAIN

If you are feeling persistent heel pain, this could be what is often referred to as a spur and could be an inflammation at the attachment of the plantar fascia into the heel bone. Often caused by poor footwear or biomechanics, early treatment is essential as it will worsen and can often manifest into other issues. Your treatment could involve appropriate footwear, stretching, taping, massage or orthotics.

ORTHOTICS

In order to improve alignment in your foot and leg and reduce pain or symptoms you are experiencing, orthotics can help. Our team can help with customised orthotics made specifically for you.
